What is Genie and what can it do for me and my family?
Service Robotics (SR) has created the GenieConnect® and GenieLite products, a remote care service designed to support individuals living independently at home. These services include voice-enabled video calls, care prompts, and reminders for nutrition, hydration, movement, medication, and more; all facilitated through the Genie robot. Users can access games, radio, internet services, and streaming platforms like Netflix. Caregivers utilise the companion app to set care reminders and monitor responses, including making voice or video calls to their loved ones.
What happens if my loved one forgets to respond to reminders?
If a reminder is missed, designated caregivers or family members with approved access to the companion app can view the responses, ensuring they don’t overlook and manage essential tasks.
If the recipient has the GenieConnect service from their care provider, the care professionals will monitor this daily and be able to provide more support services. In some cases, responding with an in person care visit (depending on the care service they offer)
Can I schedule video calls through Genie?
Yes! The companion app allows you to schedule one-on-one video calls at convenient times.
Is the system easy for my elderly parent to use?
